If you'd like to change the screen resolution of World of Goo you can edit the config file.
This is located at: C:\Program Files\WorldOfGoo\properties\config.txt
Edit this file to set your desired screen resolution.
It may be wise to make a backup of this file incase you make a mistake.

doesn't work for me :(
ReplyDeleteAny idea how to move a profile from 1 PC to another?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
On a mac, right click "World of Goo.app" and click "Show Package Contents". The file is located at: Contents/Resources/game/properties/config.txt
ReplyDeleteSeems to work fine at 1280x800.
http://hell.student.utwente.nl/wog/
ReplyDeleteCheck there. It should tell you how.
Works for me, thanks.
ReplyDelete1920x1200 gets the resolution right, but the handle at the end of the level doesn't "come hanging around"... tried putting it lower en the handle gets partially visible (hanging lower than the bottom of the screen)
ReplyDeleteput it back 800x800, it's easier to work and the resolution change is not a big deal, would be fun to get both right though
how does this work via Steam?
ReplyDeleteC:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\world of goo\properties
ReplyDeleteFile should be located there. Hope that helps.
Anony:
ReplyDeleteFor Steam, go here:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\world of goo\properties
I found my screen resolution by looking at the background properties->Settings tab. Once I had that I opened:
ReplyDeleteSteam\SteamApps\common\world of goo\properties\config.txt
worked a treat - and the continue handle works fine too.
I made a back up first just in case
It worked erfectly on my resolution 1366x768.
DeleteThank you bro
Thank you Kind soul
DeleteFor 16:10 displays a 960x600 resolution seems to work well.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering (I know this hasn't been an active post for a while), but is there a way to get this game to run in windowed mode, rather than full-screen mode? I find that the only way to get out of it when I'm playing full-screen mode is to exit entirely (as opposed to switching to the desktop to finish something else while pausing the game).
ReplyDeleteTry Alt + Enter
ReplyDeleteHow do you change the game's resolution in Ubuntu?
ReplyDeleteGo to a terminal and open "/opt/WorldOfGoo/properties/config.txt" with your editor of choice.
ReplyDelete(So, for example, I did " sudo gedit /opt/WorldOfGoo/properties/config.txt" )
Then, find the lines that say "param name="screen_width" value="X"
param name="screen_height" value="Y" "
and change the X and Y to whatever resolution you want. (So, for fullscreen on a 1280x800 screen you'd replace X with 1280, Y with 800.)
How do you get this to run in windowed mode?
ReplyDeleteAlso editing the config does not work if you have a pc with multiple monitors, it still only runs at 800x600.
I got this via Games for Windows LIVE and I can't find the install files anywhere..
ReplyDeleteI change the screen 1400*1050 but I across checkpoint, the continue button in the low

param name="screen_height" value="1200"
param name="refreshrate" value="75"
param name="ui_inset" value="10"
HDMI.
ReplyDeleteparam name="screen_width" value="1920"
param name="screen_height" value="1080"

funcionó perfectamente. Gracias

ReplyDeleteThanks, works for me.
For anyone who didn't know, after you have changed the resolution in the config file, you then have to save that and overwrite the old config file, then it'll work
ReplyDeleteWorks fine for me at 2560x1440, as did manually changing my refresh rate
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! :)
ReplyDeleteelectronic cigarette brands, e cig, e cigarette, smokeless cigarettes, electronic cigarette, best electronic cigarette
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't work for me when I change at all, when I change values I have noticed another file briefly appears and when I verify game cache it replaces config, so once changed it mustn't be registering it for some reason.
ReplyDeleteRunning Yosemite on 21.5 inch 2011 iMac

DeleteHi! Is there a way to start the game with 60Hz instead of 120Hz? doesnt work with my setup at 120Hz (projector)...
